My name is Janet Liesemer, and I am a landscape artist. I was born in Toronto, studied design, and worked outside my field of interest for many years before I moved to Grey/Bruce county. This move brought me back to my first love. Art!

Landscape Art Every Day

Starting my own mural business in 2000 I transitioned to a full-time acrylic landscape artist in 2014 and started selling my work exclusively at Loft Gallery Inc. in Thornbury.

As evident in my paintings, I am inspired by the beautiful local countryside and my love of travel. Even the cold, grey skies of a country winter can invoke a sense of peace and serenity which I try to communicate through my paintings.

Paint Classes and Workshops

Fianlly, It gives me great satisfaction to introduce others to the wonderful world of painting. Throughout the year, I offer painting workshops at Loft Gallery. In this beautiful art-filled setting, the students are inspired and ready to create their own piece of original art. Offering classes for beginners as well as intermediate, there is a place for everyone. Details on classes can be found on the ‘Events’ page found on the Loft Gallery website.
